Enabling Remote Support

If you require a CensorNet Support Technician to log into your system you can open a tunnel to our support machine and we will then be able to log in and see what may be the cause of any reported problem.  When you first select this option, you will see this screen (figure 11.12).

You can change your mind before opening the tunnel if you wish.  Pressing OK will display a message similar to the following (figure 11.13)

Figure 11.13 - Notification of a pending session

There is some important information on this screen shot.  The five digit number displayed (26136 here) needs to be given to Technical Support when you phone them.  They will also need your root password.  Once you have made a note of the number, press RETURN and the system will activate the connection (figure 11.14).

You should leave this screen displaying whilst you phone support.  Only hit the RETURN key once support have explained that they have finished with your session.  Once you hit that key you will receive confirmation that the session disconnected (figure 11.15).

When you press RETURN after this notification, you will be returned to the menu.
