Figure 4.14 shows
the Database Cache Settings page. The
page contains two settings (Cache size
& Cache timeout) and a number of
suggestions on how to calculate these values.

The two settings are:
Cache Size: This controls how many users or workstations (objects) will be cached
at any one time. It is recommended that this value be set to at least 1000, and
the default setting should be fine for all but the largest of networks.
Cache Timeout: By default, this is set to 300 (seconds) or
five minutes. This is the recommended setting for a busy network. This setting
controls the length of time it takes changes to filtering items to take effect
and become available in policies. (see Working with
Policies and Working with Filters later in this manual.)
