The Upload Filter page provides the ability
to stop the upload of files via web mail and other sites that use HTTP. Figure 6.13 shows the initial configuration.

Initially, with all
categories set to Ignore, no blocks would be set on the upload of any files via
the web. Figure 6.14 shows Office
Documents and PDF files set to block.

Once all the
selections regarding filtering have been made, click the Update Policy button. The policy will be created and a message
confirming this will be displayed. Click on the Continue button to move onto the Policy Management page.

Note The Upload Filter cannot
block uploads to a site that uses HTTPS.
This is because the connection is encrypted and CN Pro cannot tell
what file type is being uploaded. This should not be an issue as HTTPS sites
are blocked by default and access to them is configurable on CN Pro. |

Note When a user tries to upload a
file that is blocked, it may appear that CN Pro has frozen. This may occur if
the web site they are visiting is using |
